Privacy Policy

Version 2026-09-09 · Effective September 9, 2026

This Policy explains how RemAInder handles information when you use RemAInder.

1. Information we process

Account and profile data

We process identifiers and profile details such as user ID, email address, display name, authentication status, time zone, onboarding status, and legal-document acceptance records.

Reminder and collaboration content

We process reminder titles, notes, dates, recurrence settings, people labels, completion state, attachments and derived content, shared-calendar membership and invitations, merge settings, and activity needed to provide these features. Content in a shared calendar is visible to calendar members.

Voice, image, and document input

When you choose AI capture or scanning, voice recordings, images, or documents are transmitted transiently for OpenAI processing. RemAInder does not intentionally store the source audio or source image/document in its application database after that processing request. Derived transcripts, extracted reminder details, reminders you save, diagnostic outcomes, and attachments you separately choose to retain may be stored.

Calendars and notifications

With permission, RemAInder can use device calendar and notification capabilities. Device calendar operations may occur on your device under operating-system permissions. If you connect Google Calendar, RemAInder stores Google OAuth access and refresh tokens encrypted at rest and exports RemAInder-created reminder events one way to your Google Calendar. Event identifiers are stored to update or remove those exports. Disconnecting removes mapped RemAInder-created Google events before revoking the connection when possible.

Purchases, support, and diagnostics

Apple and RevenueCat provide purchase, subscription, entitlement, product, and transaction-related data; we do not receive your full payment-card number. Issue reports may contain the category, description, optional contact information, account identifier, and submission time. We may process technical, security, request, error, device, and service logs needed to operate, diagnose, and protect RemAInder.

2. How we use information

  • Provide authentication, reminders, AI capture, shared calendars, integrations, notifications, purchases, and support.
  • Maintain security, prevent abuse, troubleshoot failures, and enforce service limits.
  • Understand and improve reliability and product experience using appropriately limited operational data.
  • Comply with legal obligations and protect users, RemAInder, and others.

3. How information is disclosed

We disclose information to service providers only as needed to provide the service, including Supabase for authentication and database infrastructure, OpenAI for user-requested AI processing, Google for connected calendar export, Apple and RevenueCat for purchases and entitlements, and hosting or operational providers. We may disclose information when required by law, to protect rights and safety, or as part of a business transaction subject to appropriate safeguards.

We do not currently sell personal information or use it for cross-app behavioral advertising.

4. Google API data

RemAInder’s use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements. Google Calendar data and credentials are used only to provide and secure the user-requested calendar connection and are not used for advertising.

5. Retention and deletion

We retain account information and saved content while your account is active and as needed to provide the service. Operational, security, purchase, and legal records may be kept for reasonable periods required for fraud prevention, accounting, dispute resolution, and legal compliance. You can request account and application-data deletion through Settings. Deletion removes application records according to our systems and retention obligations; information already shared with calendar members, exported to a device or Google Calendar, included in backups pending rotation, or retained by a third party may require separate action or additional time.

6. Security

We use administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards appropriate to the nature of the information, including authenticated access controls and encryption of stored Google OAuth tokens. No system is perfectly secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

7. Your choices

You can manage notification, microphone, photo, document, and calendar permissions in your device settings; disconnect Google Calendar in RemAInder; manage subscriptions through Apple; leave or manage shared calendars where available; and delete your account through Settings. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights to access, correct, delete, or restrict processing of personal information. Contact us to exercise applicable rights.

8. Children

RemAInder is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. A higher minimum age may apply where required by local law.

9. International processing

Service providers may process information in countries other than where you live. Where required, we use appropriate measures for international transfers.

10. Changes and contact

We may update this Policy and will identify updates with a new version or effective date. Privacy questions and applicable rights requests may be sent to support@remaindcal.com.
